Elimination Tournament

You can create:
-Single Elimination with or without seeds
-Double Elimination with or without seeds
-Single Elimination with Consolation with or without seeds
-You  have an option of adding extra games to any of your tournaments (3rd place match or 5th, 7th, 9th or multiple final matches)
-You can create fully seeded roster or you can do partial seeding
-You can randomly shuffle all participants in your roster or only shuffle some of them


 Tournament Bracket

This is how your single elimination tournament bracket will look like when you create it using our tournament software.
Double elimination or playoffs will look similar. From this screen you will be able to access game scheduler and game calendar.
You'll be able to publish your tournament, view past results and upcoming games.
 
 
 
 

 Create Tournament Quickly

Go to 'Quick' page and select Tournament type and number of participants.
Click 'Create Tournament' Button as shown below
Note: Quick create is designed to create brackets and game schedules quickly.
It does not allow you to randomly shuffle participants or assign seeds based on ranking.
 
 
 
On the next screen enter Tournament Name and Season. Add all Tournament participants.
 
 
Click 'Save and Generate Tournament Bracket and Schedule' button.
After 'Quick Create' your Tournament has status 'In Progress' or 'Started' and you can no longer add
or remove participants. If you need this feature you have to create Tournament 'manually'.
However you can still edit Tournament schedule and update results after the 'Quick Create' step.

 

 Create Tournament Manually

This method is useful when your Tournament roster is not finalized and may change.
This method allows you to add or remove participants and regenerate Tournament schedule.
Go to 'Tournament List' page and click 'Create Tournament' button.
 
 
Tournament record has only 2 required fields:
Name and Season. All other fields are optional.
Combination of Name and Season must be unique.
If you save Tournament with the same Name and Season that already exist you will
get a duplicate record warning.
Once Tournament is created, it is assigned 'Registration' status.
It means that Tournament is open for new participants. Your next step is to add participants.
 
 
 

 Add Player to Singles Tournament

Go to 'Tournaments' page and select a singles Tournament from the list or find it using search.
On the selected Tournament page click 'Add' button in the participants section as shown.
 
 
On the next screen use 'Quick Add' or select and add existing participants from the list.

 Add Team to Tournament

Go to 'Tournaments' page and select a Tournament from the list or find it using search.
On the selected Tournament page click 'Add' button in the participants section.
On the next screen use 'Quick Add' or select and add existing participants from the list.

 Tournament Type

Single Elimination
Participant (Player or Team) eliminated after 1 defeat.

Double Elimination
Participant (Player or Team) eliminated after 2 defeats.
 
 

 Start Tournament/Change Tournament Status to 'In Progress'

Starting a Tournament means changing its status from 'Registration' to 'Started/In Progress'.
When you 'start tournament' it locks your ability to change(add/remove) playoff participants.
Go to 'Tournaments' page and select Tournament from the list or find Tournament using search.
If Tournament has 'Registration' status click 'Start Tournament' button.

 Copy Tournament

Go to 'Tournaments' page and select Tournament from the list of find it using search.
Click 'Copy' link from Navigation section. Select new Tournament Name and Season.
When you copy a Tournament, all Tournament Players or Teams are copied as well.
Results and scheduled dates are not copied.
Newly copied Tournament is created to have 'Registration' status.
 
 

 Publish Tournament

You can publish Tournament from Grid/Bracket/Standings page.
Click 'Publish' button. This feature is available for professional and custom plans.
When Tournament is published, it becomes accessible to everyone via public url.
Each published Tournament has unique url.
You can integrate published Tournament with any website or blog. Search this help for examples.
 
 
 
 
 Update Tournament
Go to 'Tournaments' page and select Tournament from the list of find it using search.
Update any of the Tournament's fields:
Tournament Name, Season, Notes, Access Type, Participation Fee.
Make sure that combination of Name and Season is unique.
If you try saving Tournament with the same Name and Season that already exist you will
get a duplicate record warning.
 
 
 
 Delete Tournament
Go to 'Tournaments' page and find existing Tournament in the list, then click delete link.
 
 
 
 
 Delete Player from Singles Tournament
Go to 'Tournaments' page to find existing Tournament and click on the edit Tournament link.
Previously added players are marked with checkboxes.
Uncheck players and click 'Save' button. Unchecked players will be deleted.
Tournament must have 'Registration' status.
You won’t be able to remove players if Tournament has a different status.
 
 
 
 
 Delete Team from Tournament
Go to 'Tournaments' page to find existing Tournament and click on the edit Tournament link.
Previously added teams are marked with checkboxes.
Uncheck teams and click 'Save' button. Unchecked teams will be deleted.
Tournament must have 'Registration' status.
You won’t be able to remove players if Tournament has a different status.
 
 
 
 
 Find Tournament by Name/Season/Notes/Status/Type
Go to 'Tournaments' page.  In the search box type Tournament Name or Season or Notes. Click 'Search'.
Search results will be displayed below.
If you are searching by status - select existing status from drop down list and click search.
If you are searching by type - select existing type from drop down list and click search.

 

 
 Track Tournament Participant Fees
If you collect Tournament participation fees you need to track it.
There is a way to keep tabs on who made the payments.
Go to 'Tournaments' page and select Tournament from the list or find it using search.
Set the amount you want to collect from each team/player and click 'Save'.
Then you will see input fields against each participant (team or player).
Use these fields to record/track who made the payments.
If you create custom Tournament website we can set you up to collect fees using Google checkout.
 

 
 
 Shuffle Tournament Participants
You have an option to shuffle/randomize participants of
your single or double elimination tournament.
This option is NOT available for round robin leagues.
Your tournament must have 'Registration' status.
Where do I find this feature?
Go to Tournament edit page
Then click on 'Add' Link
It will take you to Tournament Roster Page
On this page you can add/remove participants and shuffle them.
 
 
 
 
 Max Number of Tournaments
Each subscription plan has a certain number of Tournaments that you are allowed to create.
If you exceed your limit, you'll see a warning message and you will no longer be
able to add any more Tournament records.
You have to upgrade your subscription in order to be able to add more Tournaments.
 
 
 Max Number of Players per Tournament
For each subscription plan there are different limits for the
number of teams per Tournament / participants per Tournament for singles Tournaments.

If you sign up for Basic/Free Plan you can create tournament with maximum of 4 participants.
Advanced Plan allows tournaments with maximum 16 participants.
Professional Plan allows tournaments with 64 participants.
Customized Plan allows tournaments with 128 participants.

 Advance Winners and Losers of Double Elimination

Software automatically advances winners and losers of elimination tournaments.
Once you post a game score software analyzes who is the winner and who is the loser and advances them to the appropriate bracket.
Below is a screen shot of 11 team double elimination.
Please ignore empty nodes. They are left so that you know what part of the bracket a node inherits from.

 Add Extra Games
You can add extra games to your tournament if you need more games than your tournament bracket allows.
On 'Schedule' screen you can find 'Add Game' button. This button is enabled only when tournament 
has status 'Started/In Progress'
For example if you need to have multiple final games or you are planning to have matches for 3rd place, 5th place ....
